A Life in Southern Rock
Eddie Stone is a Macon, Georgia area native, singer, songwriter, Hammond organist, pianist, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist whose career runs deep through Southern rock history. By age 13, he was already playing guitar and singing with his first band, The Nightriders, performing local skating rink gigs in the mid-1960s and getting his first taste of paid live performance.
A Hammond organ player since the late 1960s, Eddie brings a feel and authenticity shaped by decades on stage and in the studio. As a founding member and surviving original member of Doc Holliday, Eddie was part of a band whose Southern rock catalog reached Billboard's Top 30 in the U.S. and earned Top 10 chart success in Europe. Doc Holliday was started by Bruce Brookshire, who served as the band's founder and bandleader, and Eddie has always held deep respect for Bruce, John Samuelson, and the close creative bond they shared as original members. Through the years, Eddie, Bruce, and John worked closely together through the music, the road, the writing, the recording, and the life that came with it.

The Hammond Sound

The Hammond Sound
For Eddie Stone, the Hammond B3 is more than an instrument. It is a voice: warm, gritty, soulful, and powerful enough to carry a room.
Eddie bought his first Hammond B3 at 18, a serious investment for a young musician and the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the instrument. His playing brings together feel, restraint, fire, and the kind of command that comes from knowing how to make a B3 speak, breathe, and roar.

Founding Member of Doc Holliday
Doc Holliday emerged from the Macon, Georgia area, carrying its sound through U.S. arena dates, European and Scandinavian tours, and a catalog that continues to reach audiences across decades.
Eddie was part of the band's musical core, contributing his multi-instrumental and vocal work across the records and live performances that defined Doc Holliday's early sound.
Major stages and shared bills included Madison Square Garden, Sweden Rock Festivals, Black Sabbath, The Outlaws, Gregg Allman, Stevie Ray Vaughan, April Wine, Loverboy, Nazareth, Scorpions, Quiet Riot & UFO.

Carrying the Legacy Forward
From 2013 through 2019, Eddie carried the music of Doc Holliday into a later touring chapter, bringing the band's Southern rock catalog back to live audiences with a renewed lineup through European tours and U.S. dates.
That era featured guitarist Michael Gilbert, along with Daniel "Bud" Ford, Rob Walker, and Tim Elliott, who joined Eddie for select tours and performances across Europe and the United States.
The music of Doc Holliday continued to reach audiences long after the original recording era.
